The twenty-third session of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights opened in Geneva today with the representatives of 30 countries, members fo the Commission participating.
The Commission by acclamation elected Petr Nadbailo of the Ukraine as Chairman, adopted a 24-point agenda and heard an opening address by Princess Ashraf Pahlavi of Iran. The session is expected to last through 23 March.
