Belgium ratified the Convention the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Dicrimination. The Convention, adopted by the General Assembly on 21 December 1965, came into force on 4 January 1969. Under the Convention, States parties condemn" racial discrimination and undertake to pursue, by all appropriate means and without delay, a policy of eliminating racial discrimination in all its forms and promoting understanding among races." A Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination has been established under the Convention to oversee the implementation of its provisions.

Republic of Korea today acceded to the International Convention of All Forms of Racial Discrimination. The Convention was adopted by the General Assembly on 21 December 1965 and came into force on 4 January 1969. Under the Convention, Sates Parties condemn racial discrimination and undertake to pursue a policy of eliminating it without delay and promoting understanding among races. The Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination oversees the implementation.

The Dominican Republic today signed the International Convention of All Forms of Racial Discrimination. Under the Convention, Sates Parties promote understanding among races and condemn racial discrimination, undertaking to pursue a policy of eliminating it without delay. The Committee on Elimination of Racial Discrimination oversees the Convention's implementation.

Photographic reproduction of the emblem-poster design to publicize the Decade for action to Combat Racism and Racial Discrimination. The design is in black and white and shows two human beings in stylised geometric form separated but also joined by mathematical sign of equality. The two figures also appear to be extending their arms to each other in brotherhood. It was designed by Peter Slanov Petrov of Bulgaria who won a cash award of $1,000 in a UN international competition for the best emblem-poster design. The design will be reproduced by the UN for world-wide distribution as part of the UN effort to combat racism and racial discrimination.
