    Biographical history

    Dr. Neu was born near Delhi, Ontario in 1866. He graduated as a gold medallist from the Western University Matriculation Examination in 1894. After graduation he began as an intern with the London General Hospital and then went on to practice with Dr. Hadley Williams teaching pathology, bacteriology and physiology. He then studied pathology in Germany, Austria and England in 1898, after which he returned to London and was appointed pathologist to Victoria Hospital for the London General Hospital. He became a professor of pathology in 1902 at Western. He resigned in 1903 then went on to teach and work at several Indiana institutions including the Indiana State Hospital and the University of Indiana.
