Biographical history
Dr. James Wellington Crane was born in 1877 in the village of Orwell near St. Thomas, Ontario. He received his Bachelor of Medicine degree in 1898 from the University of Toronto. In 1913 he went on to teach biochemistry, pharmacology and therapeutics at the Medical School at Western and served as Dean from 1927-1929.
