Biographical history
Dr. Waugh, born in 1851, studied at the Komoka Academy, served as apprentice with Dr. Alexander Anderson in London and studied medicine at McGill University. Waugh was elected Chair of Anatomy at the inception of the Medical School, then transferred to Chair of the Principles and Practice of Surgery in 1886 as well as assuming duties of Registrar. He then became Emeritus Professor in 1913 and was appointed Bursar of the University where he served until his death in 1936.
