R125/4/3273/2986 Extradition of Herr Sahm - Sir Reginald Tower (Report N 11) - Transmits copy of despatch No.20 to the Conference of Ambassadors enclosing despatch from the British Minister at Warsaw, stating that the Polish Minister for Foreign Affairs is to go into the case of Herr Sahm, and that if he feels he can waive the demand for Herr Sahm's extradition, without inflaming public opinion ins Poland, he will be quite willing to withdraw Herr Sahm's name from the Polish list of war criminals. He wishes to know, however, how the Allied Governments would view such a proceeding. File 1920.02.28

Dispatch reports his reception of a deputation consisting of the deputy Bürgermeister and two town councillors who handed him a document testifying to the integrity and efficiency of Herr Sahm and the desirability of retaining his services as oberbürgermeister. Tower, by members of the Danzig City Council, protesting in strong terms against the demand for the extradition of Herr Sahm and other Danzig citizens. File 1920.02.17
R125/4/3375/2986 Extradition of Herr Sahm - Sir Reginald Tower - Letter to the Secretary-General deprecates any action being taken against Herr Sahm, as every effort is being made to induce the Polish Authorities to abandon their claim for this extradition. The Secretary-General's telegram of 14 February regarding Sir R. Tower's appointment as High Commissioner was acknowledged by him in an official telegram to the Foreign Office. File 1920.03.03
