The UN Commission on Human Rights began its thirty-second session at the Palais des Nations in Geneva today, and unanimously elected Ambassador Aleksander Bozavic (Yugoslavia) as Chairman. Omran El-Shafei (Egypt), Giuseppe Sperdutti (Italy) and Carlos Lechuga Hevia (Cuba) were unanimously elected as Vice-Chairmen. Mr Khalid Saleem (pakistan) was elected Rapporteur for the session. The Commission will be in session until 11 March 1977. The membership of the Commission consists of the following 32 Member States, elected by the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC): Austria, Bulgaria, Byelorussia, Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, Cyprus, Ecuador, Egypt, Germany (Federal Republic of), India, Iran, Italy, Jordan, Lesotho, Libya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Panama, Peru, Rwanda, Senegal, Sweden, Syria Arab Republic, Turkey, Uganda, USSR, United Kingdom, United States, Upper Volta, Uruguay and Yugoslavia.
