Yehudi Menuhin, violinist, and Ravi Shankar, sitarist, performed together at a concert at UN headquarters today on the occasion of Human Rights Day. Jean-Louis Barrault, the French actor, read the Preamble to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights - the adoption of which by the UN General Assembly on 10 December 1948, is the occasion for annual Human Rights Day commemorative celebrations. Seen here is Corneliu Manescu (Romania), UN General Assembly President, as he delivered a message to those gathered in the Asembly Hall on the occasion of the Human Rights Day concert today.
