The International Atomic Energy Agency, at the request of the Government of Iran in 1968, assigned an expert in Nucleonic Equipment, Professor Humberto Rafael Ciancaglini (Argentina) to the Teheran University Nuclear Centre to assist in the following duties: to give advice and assistance in the operation and management of the nucleonic repair and maintenance workshop of the Teheran University Nuclear Centre and the Reactor Centre; to draw up planned maintenance schedules for the nucleonic equipment; to advise on purchase of new equipment and spares; to instruct technical staff in the principles of maintenance and repair of nucleonic equipment.
