Iran today became a signatory to both International Covenants on Human Rights, bringing to date the number of signatories to the Covenant on Civil and Political Rights to 25 and the number of signatories to the Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights to 26.
Seen here as he signed both International Covenants on Human Rights is Mehdi Vakil, Permanent Representative of Iran to the UN.
