Harbour of Macao - Foreign Office, London (Report No. 25) - Informs of friction between the Chinese and Portuguese on this subject - The Chinese complain that the land has been reclaimed and that Portuguese artillery is menacing Chinese territory - Government of Macao proposes to ask for a joint delimitation Commission which would be useless while feeling is running so high.

Portuguese works at Macao - Foreign Office, London (Report No. 27) - British Government have informed their Representative at Canton, that they attach greatest importance to a compromise, as they could not remain impervious to Chinese agression upon Portuguese territory - It is hoped that the Canton Government will allow continuation of harbour works.
