            The United Nations Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities this morning resumed its chapter-by-chapter review of the special rapporteur's draft report on discrimination in the matter of political rights.

            Opening its 14th session, the UN Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities this morning reelected Jose D. Ingles (Philippines) as Chairman and Vieno Voitto Saario (Finland) as Rapporteur. Election of the Vice-Chairman was postponed. In addition, the Sub-Commission adopted a 10-item agenda.
            Conversing prior to the meeting are (left to right): Mr. John P. Humphrey, Sub-Commission Secretary who is also Director of the UN Division of Human Rights; Mr. C. Richards Hiscocks (United Kingdom); and Mr. Jose D. Ingles (Philippines), Chairman of the Sub-Commission.
