Scope and content

Located at Arnheim, the Netherlands, KEMA, testing station for electrical equipment and atomic research laboratory, is one of the most modern stations of its type in Europe. Installed in 1953, KEMA acts as the advisory control board to the electrical power stations in Holland. Along with the day-to-day activities of supplying and controlling electricity, the testing station is also engaged in research in devising chemical apparatus for the continuous preparation of uranium for tests. Physicist Dr. de Bruyn, shown in this picture working with his assistant, is diagramming experiments on the preparation of uranium for tests.
