Switzerland and the League of Nations - Dr. William Martin - Gives confidential information concerning: 1) The notification of Swiss adherence will be given as soon as the Treaty comes into force; 2) Federal government deem it inadvisable to proceed with the plebiscite until America ratifies the Treaty, but should an early decision be required, Parliament would be asked for the necessary authorization.

Crowe, stating: 1) That the telegram drafted by Mr. Baker in reply to Lord Acton's telegram No.228 to Mr. Balfour of 17 July on the subject of the validity of Swiss adherence before the confirmation by plebiscite, was never dispatched; 2) That he concurs in the terms of the draft telegram to Mr. Russell in reply to his telegram of 24 November on the above subject.

Accession of Switzerland to the League of Nations - Mr. H. Nicolson (Report no. 74) - Transmits copy of memo on this subject addressed to the Supreme Council by the Swiss Legation in Paris, and copy of report on the same, drawn up by the Legal Advisers to the Peace Conference. Supreme Council instructed Legal Advisers to draw up a reply to be sent to the Swiss Legation in the name of the Conference.
