The records consist of correspondence with regard requests for information from individuals on the Convention on the International Right of Correction. First drafted at the Conference on Freedom of Information in 1948 the Convention was opened for signature by the General Assembly in 1952.

The records contain a letter by Mr. Humphrey, Division Director, summarizing discussions in the Third Committee of Article 19 of the Convention, especially with regard to freedom of thought, conscience and religion in Muslim countries.
