The records pertain to General Assembly resolution 2919 (XXVII) entitled Decade for Action to Combat Racism and Racial Discrimination (1972) and to the subsequent GA resolution 3057 (XXVIII). The Commission on Human Rights was requested to prepare a draft programme for the Decade, and did so in resolution 1 (XXIX) which was circulated to governments, UN organs, organizations, specialized agencies and individuals. The Decade was launched in 12.1973.
