The records consist of an exchange of letters regarding the Protocol of 1953 amending the Slavery Convention. The Protocol was open for signature or acceptance by States parties to the Convention. States could become parties to the Protocol by signature without reservations, signature with reservation of acceptance. Acceptance was effectuated by the deposit of a formal instrument with the Secretary-General.
