"Extra-curricular activities have taken on a new slant at the South Collegiate for 50 boys who are taking two lessons a week in wireless and telegraphy from Lloyd Jackson of the teaching staff. Mr. Jackson was a wireless operator during the last war. The students have built a communication talbe with 13 sets of earphones and the same number of sending keys and are voluntarily taking the courses to prepare themselves for military work when they become of age. The pictures were taken by a Free Press camerman. A section of the practice table showing Instructor Jackson seated at the master key (centre back).
