"A three day institute for potential nurses-in-training opened yesterday at St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital.......Many of the aspects of hospital work required of nurses-in-training will be touched on during the course in the modern hospital. Here, Miss Elizabeth Johnson, formerly of Ottawa Civic Hospital, an instructress in hospital arts, shows the propsective nurses how to attend bed patients. Twenty-eight applications have already been received for a school of nursing program starting in September.
