Administrative history
The Circle Women's Centre at Brescia University College was founded in 1990. Created as a place where women could join together to explore and celebrate the sacred in their lives, it was originally funded by an initial grant and ongoing support from the Ursuline Sisters. It is now supported and maintained by Brescia University College and Circle members. The Circle coordinates The Sophia Series, a speaker and event series, in collaboration with the Institute for Women in Leadership, the Ursuline Centre and Brescia Chaplaincy.

Records held by Margaret Simpson until transferred to the London Women's History Group in 2005.
Scope and content
Series consists of records relating to The Circle activities. Included are an overview report of groups and activities, information about events, correspondence, member visits, flyers and brochures, and miscellaneous writings.
