The 21-member United Nations Commission on Human Rights this morning opened its eighteenth session and elected
Mr. Georges Hakim (Lebanon) as Chairman. Other officers elected were: Mr. Petr E. Medbailo (Ukraine), Firs Vice-Chairman; Dr. Ilhan Lutem (Turkey), Second Vice-Chairman; and Horteneio J. Brillantes (Philippines), Rapporteur.The officers were elected by acclamation.
