Biographical history
Alan Noon worked as a specialist in photography at the University of Western Ontario between 1962 and 2012. In addition, he worked on a number of historical photograph collections such as the Hines and Henry Studio Collections. During the latter part of his service, he created, and contributed content to, The Way We Were series in the Western News.

Series consists of photographs of the Western Fair taken in London, Ontario organized into five sub-series: Agriculture and Horticulture, Booths, Entertainment, People and Scenes and Military.

The items have been arranged by Western Archives according to their format and subject matter. The photographer's original arrangement has been lost due to the rearrangement of the photographs by the previous owners.
