    Biographical history

    Bruno Walter was born Bruno Schlesinger in September 15, 1876 in Berlin, Germany. He was a pianist, composer, and conductor who worked closely with Gustav Mahler. He was married to Elsa Wirthschaft and together they had two children, Gretl Marguerite and Lotte Walter. Bruno Walter passed away February 17, 1962 in his Beverly Hills home.
