Fonds consists of photographic records in a variety of formats, as well as some textual business records created by Ron Nelson Photography, Ltd. and its predecessors. The photographs provide comprehensive documentation of the firm's work, which was primarily focused on commercial and aerial photography.

The index is sorted alphabetically by location/city (the book contains cities and towns from A-Z) and contains the aerial negative number, the location and subject, and the date. Once negatives have been identified, consult box listings found in sub-series AFC 450-S2-SS3.
