    Biographical history

    Justine Ernestine Mahler was born December 15, 1868 in the City of Jihlava, the eighth child born to Bernard Mahler and Marie Mahler-Herrmann. She ran her brother Gustav Mahler's household until his marriage to in 1902. One day after Gustav's wedding, she was married to Arnold Josef Rosé on March 10, 1902. Together they had two children, Alfred Eduard Rosé and Alma Maria Rosé. Justine Mahler Rosé passed away on August 22, 1938 in Vienna, Austria.
