Scope and content

In anticipation of the proposed new Biological and Geological Sciences Building, the old greenhouses located near the present-day Laurene O Paterson Building were demolished and newer, larger facilities designed by John K Johannesen constructed to the north. A year later the new Biology Building was attached to these greenhouses. This 1956 photograph offers a rare glimpse of the Waugh Botanical Building (also demolished) and the Collip Medical Research Laboratory
