Scope and content
Anglican Huron College had affiliated with the university in 1909. In 1932 Huron purchased land along Western Road and in 1950 began what Bishop Luxton described as the "Greatest domestic missionary adventure of the 20th century". The new and expanded college opened in 1951. The original building on St James Street, site of Western’s second campus, was emptied of its treasures and demolished.
