For acclaimed London artist Greg Curnoe, Western was his fifth studio. The first was on Richmond Street near Dundas Street. The second was in an apartment followed by a very hot stuffy building on King Street. Finally he purchased an old factory at 38 Westin St before assuming his yearlong position as Western’s artist in residence. Curnoe seen working on one of several bicycle themed canvases was the first Londoner to hold the title of "Artist in Residence" at Western
