The Physics and Astronomy Building is noted for its fine stone carvings but other examples can be seen around the northeast door of Stevenson Hall, now part of the Stevenson-Lawson Administration Building. Designed by Jack Patterson of O, Roy Moore architects, they represent various aspects of university life. Twenty-three smaller blocks photographed before installation was set about two feet below the top of the roof and spaced evenly around the entire building.
