ECOSOC resolution 1074 (XXXIX) of 1965 entitled Periodic Reports on Human Rights and Freedom of Information invited specialized agencies to report to the Secretary-General on human rights and fundamental freedoms in the territories subject to their jurisdiction. A continuing three year cycle was established as follows: civil and political rights to cover the period ending June 1965; economic, social and cultural rights for the period ending June 1966; and freedom of information covering the period ending June 1967. The records of this file contain submissions from specialized agencies for the period ending June 1966.
