Item consists of two identical copies of the Edmonton Technical High School day class prospectus. Descriptions of technical options offered are included, specifically, Household Arts, Art, Mechanical Drawing, Printing, Woodwork, Machine Shop, and Forge Shop. For students over 16, industrial courses could be taken in Art, Architectural Course, Forge Shop, Gas Engine, Household Arts, Dressmaking, Industrial Chemistry and Mineralogy, Machine Shop, Printing, and Woodwork.

Item is a scrapbook pertaining to the music program at Hardisty School. It includes programmes, notices to parents, a list of all the secondary Music teachers in Edmonton Public Schools, and adjudication reports from the Kiwanis Music Festival. It also contains photographs of student music ensembles and bands.

A Report on the 1979 Student Opinion Survey : Edmonton Public Schools

Item is a report detailing the results of a district wide student attitude survey conducted in June 1979 to determine students' attitudes toward school. The questionnaires are included in the report. The survey was initiated in 1979 by Superintendent Strembitsky as a tool to monitor principals in the newly implemented district wide School Based Budgeting. The survey director was Dr. Mosychuk, Monitoring and Assessment Services.

Administration Files : Contests and Competitions

Item is a file of correspondence regarding student poster and essay contests sponsored by service clubs, the Canadian Authors' Association and the radio station CJCA. The item contains information about a federal job competition and the Civil Service Examination. A pamphlet from the Province of Alberta outlining the competition to destroy crows and magpies is also included. File was discontinued and removed from a larger series.

Item consists of letters from students in Hamburg, Germany to students in Edmonton. Each letter, written in German, is accompanied by an English translation. The letters express appreciation for an album created by the King Edward School students and sent to Germany as part of a Red Cross program. Postcards and one photograph of Hamburg are attached. Also included is a letter from the Red Cross.

Avalon Special Projects Class 1975

Item is a hard-bound book containing student reports from the Avalon Junior High School Special Projects Class. M. Eurchuk, Assistant Principal of Avalon Junior High School, was the Special Projects Class Supervisor. The class was part of the district's Gifted and Talented Program. Students who participated in the class and submitted reports were from several different junior high schools within Edmonton Public Schools.
