Item is a coil-bound book prepared by the curriculum sub-committee of the Edmonton Public School Local Alberta Teachers’ Association in cooperation with Edmonton Public Schools. It details the reasons for using Community Resources in education and provides a directory for field trips. Within the book are photographs of a class which were taken by a Parkview School teacher.

Item is a prospectus for the Edmonton Technical High School. Course descriptions for Prevocational, Matriculation, Shop Courses, and Industrial Courses are included. Industrial courses include both free and fee courses. Course descriptions are included for Matriculations subjects, Art, Mechanical Drawing, Elementary Carpentry, Cabinet Making, Advanced Cabinet Making, Pattern Making and Foundry, Power, Cooking, Sewing, Printing, Woodwork, Machine Shop Practice, Forge Shop, Vocational Dressmaking and Costume Designing, Textile and Textile Chemistry, Gas Engine, Industrial Chemistry, Invalid Cookery and Chemistry.

The Edmonton Schoolboys’ Band

Item is a history of the Edmonton Schoolboys’ Band. It appears to be the text used in one section of the 1958 EPSB Annual Report. It also appears to be a draft copy with handwritten corrections. Of note is an error on the second page indicating that the King and Queen visited Edmonton in 1937 when, in fact, they visited in 1939.

Administration Files : Concerts

Item pertains to student concerts held at McDougall church. The proceeds of the concerts went toward the Department of Music, the Department of Physical Training and the Children's Fund to Deal with Emergencies (Relief Fund). Included are minutes from organizational meetings, receipts, breakdown of ticket sales, programs and financial statements. The file also contains a list of the recipients of the School Chorus Awards from the Alberta Provincial Museum Festival, 1947.
