Item is a photocopied programme of the graduating exercises of the first Grade IX class to graduate from the new King Edward Junior High School. The graduation was presented by the King Edward Home and School Association. The programme includes a list of staff, the order of ceremonies, the list of award winners, the list of graduates, the valedictorian speech, a thank-you to home and school, the class history, and a list of dances with accompanying songs for the graduation dance.

The Modern Teachers Daily Plan Book

Item originated in Canora School. It is the daily schedule of Anne Strain's Grade I class for November 1961 to June 1962. It is broken down by subject matter and objectives. Included are student grades, book order lists, the names of students who purchased class photographs and school crests, and memorandum to teachers and principals regarding school prayer, corporal punishment, leave of absence due to pregnancy, requisitions, report cards, and the City of Edmonton Planetarium.

Item consists of class lists for Grades I to VI and Junior Opportunity at Canora School. Each list includes the names of students, their ages, and the number of days they attended each month of 1966-1967. Each list was completed by the classroom teacher. The number of days the teacher was absent is recorded on the back of each list.

Item is a recorded interview with Ed Bell, former teacher at Riverside School (1912-1913) and first principal of Bennett School. He discusses Cadets, Inspectors, and daily life in the schools. He mentions S.A.G. Barnes and Superintendent McCaig. He left Bennett to teach in the Peace Country and describes the move north in 1914. Interviewer is Frank Mathew.

Directory of Pupils

Series consists of a single sheet for every class, in every school, per school year. Early years list boys and girls on separate sheets. High Schools are missing from 1964-65. Forms record school, date, teacher, students, each student’s address, birth date, grade, religion and residency status. Information was used by the finance/revenue area to calculate the annual education grant submission to Alberta Education. The lists then served as a directory of students, for the district, for the school year.

Item is a booklet handmade by Harriet E. Inkster listing attendees of the Nov 1911 Teachers' Convention. Harriet Inkster taught in Edinglassie School District No. 1973 in 1911. She began teaching with EPS in 1922.

Item is a recorded interview with Ed McDougall about school life in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He identifies photographs of school mates and teachers. He mentions, but does not describe, the schools he attended namely Edmonton School, McKay Avenue School, Queen's Avenue School, and Victoria School. He mentions teachers, Miss Chegwin, Miss Barker and Mr. Welbourne. He describes his homes in Edmonton. Interviewer is M. A. Kostek.
