The committee addressed the care and expansion of buildings and grounds and issues affecting custodial and trades staff. It received monthly accounts from the Building Commissioner, information from the Engineer and Superintendent, and concerns from other parties.

Series consists of minutes from committees whose function was to negotiate contracts, agreements and procedures with employee unions. The committees were made up of Edmonton Public Schools Trustees, School Board officials and representatives. From 11 Feb 1961 to 12 Sep 1968 the committee was called the Sub-Conference Negotiating Committee. From 20 Nov 1968 to 13 Nov 1972 a number of different committees with different members were involved.

Letters are numbered and an alphabetical index is included.
